Samhi Hotels Limited was established in 2010. The Company has an acquisition-focused strategy, underpinned by its track record of acquiring and successfully redeveloping hotels to grow its business. The company primarily acquires or builds business hotels and takes steps to further enhance the hotels and partner with established branded hotel operators to position the hotels appropriately in the market. Following this one-time property upgrade, the Company is leveraging its internal and proprietary asset management tools and capabilities to further improve the ongoing financial and operational performance of the property.
The company's portfolio is diversified across India's major consumer centers, in a variety of price ranges and with established brands that serve broad demand (Stheirce: JLL Report). The company currently divides its hotel portfolio into three distinct hotel segments based on brand classification – Upper Upscale and Upscale, Upper Mid-Scale and Mid-Scale.
Given its dominant position among upscale and mid-scale brands in India (Stheirce: JLL Report), the company could expand its portfolio of Fairfield by Marriott and Vacation Inn Express to 936 and 1,427 keys, respectively, by February 28, 2023, making it the largest owner of these brands in India. During the acquisition process, various parameters are evaluated, including hotel site profile, demand or supply, competition, future business potential, product or brand profile, development costs and timelines, and detailed financial analysis.
