What is voluntary and mandatory migration in SME IPO?
A company listed on the SME segment may migrate to the main board after completing 2 years since listing. There are two ways to move to the main board BSE and NSE platforms;
Voluntary migration: If the company’s post-issue paid-up capital exceeds Rs 10 crore but below Rs 25 crore, then the entity may voluntarily migrate to the BSE or NSE by passing a special resolution through a postal ballot.
Mandatory migration: A company has to mandatorily move to the main board if the post-issue paid-up capital exceeds Rs 25 crores.
