The Sovereign Gold Bonds 2020-21-Series-IX (SGB 2020-21 Series 9), issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on behalf of the government, will be open for subscription from 28th Dec 2020 to 1st Jan 2021. The Bonds will be issued on the 05th Jan 2021. The issue price is ₹5000 per gram of gold. Special discount of ₹50 per gram for the investors applying online and the payment against the application is made through digital mode. For such investors, the issue price of the gold bond will be ₹4950 per gram of gold. Assured return of 2.50% PA payable half-yearly on 5000/gm.
Retail Investor can invest Minimum 1 GM and Maximum 4 Kg. The 4Kg limit is per financial year. The Maximum limit of HUF is 4 Kg, Trusts and similar entities is 20 Kg.
