Zerodha allows its clients to invest in IPO with Zerodha Kite. To make the process easier and simplified, the broker allows the UPI facility to invest in IPO with Zerodha. Clients can apply IPO in Zerodha through a console that is Zerodha’s back-office platform. Under this process, users are required to provide their UPI ID details and enter IPO bid price and quantity, and later a UPI mandate request will be sent to the UPI app that needs to be accepted. The UPI mandate allows the broker to block or freeze the required amount in the client’s bank account.
