Chemplast Sanmar Limited is a part of SHL Chemical Group, one of the most prominent groups in South India. CHL is a leading manufacturer of certain specialty chemicals like specialty paste PVC resins in India, and one of the largest manufacturers of caustic soda and hydrogen peroxide in South India. It is engaged in manufacturing different types of chemicals such as PVC resin, industrial salt, chlorochemicals, hydrogen peroxide, starting materials, and intermediates for various industries i.e. agrochemical, pharmaceuticals, and fine chemical sectors.
Currently, the firm owns 4 manufacturing facilities, 3 are located in Tamil Nadu at Mettur, Berigai, and Cuddalore, and one facility is situated in Puducherry at Karaikal.
