Even though IIFL is a full service broker but providing 2 in 1 service only. So with the broker like IIFL, investor can‘t apply for IPO with their platform. Before ASBA process started, Investors were able to use IIFL online terminal to apply in IPO online and broker was responsible to share the information with registrar and exchange.

Now IIFL clients also have to use the ASBA process to invest in IPO. Investor can use IIFL Demat Account detail to submit with ASBA so when they receive allotment, they can use IIFL trading account to sell IPO scripts.

In Current process brokers have very minimum role to apply in IPO. Few full service brokers like IIFL still allowing its clients to submit IPO application form on their branch office or any IIFL mutual fund branch office. They are doing manual work to submit the application to respective bank to complete ASBA process.

Step to Invest in IPOs with ASBA using IIFL demat account

  • Login into your net banking account.
  • Go to Investment options, Select IPO.
  • Under IPO Page – Select the IPO you wish to invest.
  • Provide the required information like PAN No, Demat Account Number(IIFL - 16 digit DP Number) and number of shares and bid price (including option to select cut off price).
  • Submit application subject to availability of clear balance in your bank account.

Note: Client having account in those bank who are not offering paperless ASBA application or those client who do not do online banking has to fill the physical application and submit to syndicate member for onward submission to client’s bank for blocking required amount in client ‘s bank account.
