I am an NRI, how can I convert my Physical shares into Demat format?

For NRIs, the first step is to open NRI trading and demat account. Please refer our detail guide NRI's IPO Investment in India and NRI Trading in India to know more about NRI Trading and Demat Account process.

Once you have your demat account active in India, you need to follow below-given steps for dematerialization of your shares.

  1. Print Dematerialisation Request Form from your broker's platform
  2. Fill & sign the form
  3. Attach 2 copy of self-signed PAN card & Aadhar Card
  4. Send the form, documents and original share certificates to your broker.

Your broker/bank will take it forward to CDSL or NSDL. This process will take 2 to 3 weeks after document verification.
