One must have a registered UPI ID to add money in Zerodha and it must be linked or mapped with the same bank account. The process to create or set up BHIM UPI ID is as follows:

Download and install the BHIM App from the Play Store or the App Store.
Register yourself with the mobile number linked with the bank account.
Login by setting a 4 digit application password.
Link the registered bank account with the Zerodha Trading account on the UPI app by providing the bank account number, account holder name, etc.
Set UPI PIN and once done, you can use UPI ID to add funds in Zerodha.
