In November 2020, Zerodha has taken another initiative by launching a stock gifting platform on Console where users can gift stocks, ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds), and gold bonds to their friends, family members, and loved ones.

Steps to gift stocks in Zerodha on Console:

Log in to the Console.
Tap on the Client ID and click on the “Gift Stocks” option.
It will redirect you to the Zerodha stocks gifting page on Console.
Now, enter the gift recipient’s name, mobile number, e-mail address, and then press on the “Continue” option.

Select stock/s that you want to gift and enter quantity, and then tap on the “Confirm & Send” option.

Once done, the recipient will receive an e-mail and SMS with the details of the gift.
The recipient needs to log in to his Zerodha account to accept the gift. Once accepted, the sender will be notified through e-mail and SMS to verify the recipient details and approve the transfer of the stocks by entering CDSL TPIN.
