There are three ways to open a commodity account with SAS Online that are provided here as under:

    SAS Online is an online discount broker thus, you can open a commodity trading account online following these steps;

    • Visit the official website of the broker.
    • Register yourself by providing details such as PAN, mobile number, and complete OTP-verification process.
    • Enter personal details such as PAN, DOB, Aadhaar number, address, etc.
    • Upload FATCA details such as profession, income details, etc. and proceed with it.
    • Add bank details such as account number, IFSC, account type, holder name, etc.
    • Later, you’ve to choose the segments, in which, you’re looking to trade whether equity, F&O, commodity, currency. As here, you want to open a commodity account, so click on the commodity segment.
    • Scan and upload required documents such as PAN card, address proof, etc and IPV verification.
    • Pay the account opening fee.
    • After receiving the account opening request and its verification, if everything is perfect, then your account will be opened and login credentials will be sent to your mail.

Offline Account Opening Form - Request a Courier

If you find it difficult to download the commodity form from the broker’s website then it is better to go with the “Request a Courier” option. This is a completely manual process and the facility enables you to provide your details such as name, address, contact number, email, etc. and get the required form on your mentioned address. It is to be noted that this service will cost you extra charges of Rs. 100 means you’ve to pay total charges of Rs. 300. Once you receive the document, you have to provide the required details, attach necessary documents, and send all the hard copies to the head office.

  • Copy of PAN Card.
  • Address proof i.e. driving license, Voter ID, bank statement, passport, etc.
  • Passport size photograph.
  • Bank proof i.e. canceled cheque, latest bank statement, bank passbook front page, etc.
  • Income proof; latest payslip, last 6 months bank statement, IT return, etc.
