Here’s the step-by-step process to open HDFC Sky commodity account online;

1. Download the HDFC Sky app or visit to the HDFC Sky website.
2. Click on Sign up and enter your email address and mobile number and validate details with OTP.
3. Next, Enter your PAN number, DOB as per PAN card, and tap on proceed to verify KYC option.
4. Verify your identity with aadhar and KYC process is done.
5. Take and upload a selfie to complete in-person verification.
6. Verify your personal information like name, occupation, trading experience, etc.
7. Link a personal bank account, all fund transfer (deposits and withdrawal) will be processed through the linked bank account only.
8. Select segment you want to trade in. To trade in commodities, don’t forget to select derivatives segments.
9. Upload an income proof, signature, and KRA e-sign account opening and KRA submission form with aadhar OTP verification.
10. That’s done! Once all the documents are verified, your demat and equity and commodity trading account will be opened. You will be intimated regarding account activation on your registered email address.

If you already have an equity trading account with HDFC Sky, you just have to activate the derivative segment to start MCX derivative trading.

To enable MCX trading, log in to your HDFC Sky trading account, go to profile settings, and click on active segments. Now, select derivative (F&O) segment and submit an income proof to the broker.

Once the details are verified, you will receive an email for commodity account activation.
