Nuvama has two brokerage plans; Lite and Elite brokerage plans. The commodity trading brokerage charge in the Lite plan is Rs 10 flat fee per executed order. However, Elite Plan charges a fixed 0.01% brokerage fee on commodity futures trading. The broker does not provide commodity options trading.
Nuvama maintains a single equity and commodity trading account to trade in all the asset classes. While opening a trading account in Nuvama, you just have to enable the MCX derivative trading segment to trade in commodities.
However, if you have an equity trading account and now, wish to trade in commodities then you can activate the MCX futures segment. To enable F&O trading, submit the duly filled F&O segment activation form along with the last 6 months' bank statement as income proof to the broker.

If you already own an equity trading account then to trade in derivatives, you have to activate or enable commodity trading. It can be done offline by providing the duly filled and signed F&O segment activation form. The form requires details including the client’s name, PAN number, Unique Client Code (UCC), and signature. You also have to attach valid income proof such as the last 6 months' bank statement, latest salary slip, copy of ITR, etc.
