Likewise other brokers, Zerodha also have a referral program to provide a source of passive income to investors. Anyone who has an account with Zerodha can suggest or refer the broker to other potential customers and once they open an account with Zerodha then referrals can get brokerage benefits. Under the Zerodha referral program, earlier, the referral was only entitled to get 300 reward points but w.e.f. 1^st January 2020, the Zerodha refer & earn program has been updated and now, a referral will also get 10% of the brokerage paid by the person whom they refer to Zerodha account.

How to refer Zerodha Account to others?

Steps or process to refer Zerodha account to a friend and family members are provided here as under:

• Login with Zerodha Kite platform
• Go to console back-office.
• On the top menu bar in the right-hand side, click on the user ID and then “Rewards & Referrals” option



• A new web page will be open, to refer a friend, enter the name, e-mail, and mobile number.



• Now, the referee will get an e-mail to open an online account with Zerodha.
• If the person to whom you referred has opened the Zerodha account then you will be eligible to earn a 10% commission under Zerodha referral. Further, on each referral, a referral will get 300 reward points that can be used to subscribe Zerodha premium products such as Algo trading-Streak, Options trading - Sensibull, Smallcase, LearnApp, etc.)

A referral is eligible to get following benefits;

• 10% of the brokerage paid by a refereed person. It is applicable to w.e.f January 2020.
• Earn 300 reward points on every referral.

Zerodha Referral terms & conditions

No doubt, every referral program comes with several terms & conditions. To earn a reward with Zerodha referral program, the following conditions must be met out;

• A person to whom Zerodha is referred must open an account within the time limit of 60 days. If the client has opened the account later, then it will not be considered as a referred account and can’t earn referral benefits.
• To get referral earnings, the brokerage house has set a minimum payout of Rs. 1,000 thus you must have at least 5 referrals to withdraw referral commission.
