  9. You will receive an account closure confirmation email and the request will be processed within 72 working hours.

Note: Once the closure request is initiated, access to both the Kite and console will be disabled.

Important Points:

  • Before closing Zerodha account, make sure to have null balance in Zerodha account with no pending dues.
  • Demat account should not contain any securities. If yes, then either sell or transfer to another demat account.
  • Demat account must have zero balance.

Note that a deactivated account can be again activated with the same client code but if you have closed or deleted Zerodha account then it can’t be reactivated and you have to re-open it.

Steps to Reactivate Zerodha Account

  1. Write an account reactivation request letter to Zerodha.
  2. Attach self-attested documents like PAN card and address proof.
  3. Send it to the Zerodha Bangalore head office address.

Note: You can also reactivate account online through raising a ticket at the Zerodha support desk and by e-sign the reactivation letter.
